Much better press than the purple cow or Mrs. Bauer. &lt;BR/&gt;&lt;BR/&gt;I can not confirm or deny these events as documented.  Scott certainly has a better memory than I.  But based on the details, it is very plausible that it all happened...  We were not supervised in shop classes very well at all.  We're all lucky that we still have our fingers and eye sight after what happened in shop class.  Although I did end up building half a dozen cedar chests in Senior High without incident.  It was funny when one of the girls in class sealed and varnished the INSIDE of her cedar chest.  Yep, closely supervised we were.&lt;BR/&gt;&lt;BR/&gt;I'm surprised you don't have any stories about Sodemen and Osie (sp?), or our Jr. High Science teacher Mr. Nelson (duh, all of the answers for the tests were in the book), or Mr. Hack, or ... fill in the long list of teachers names...
